Welcome to Year 2
Here you will find resources and lessons, as well as some links to useful websites and virtual museums that you may wish to view at home with your children.
With children potentially working in a completely different environment at home, below are some resources for online safety that you and your child can view together.
Think U Know - Children are accessing technology and the internet at a younger age than ever before. It’s never too early to talk to your child about what they do online and who to tell if they come across anything online that makes them feel worried, scared or sad.
123 Home School 4 Me - If you need access to free worksheets and activities, here's another good place to start. Our friends in the USA have made a really valuable platform here. You'll need to convert the year groups though! As a rough guide: Reception = Pre-Kindergarten, Year 1 = Kindergarten, Year 2 = 1st Grade
Active Learn Primary - Teachers are ensuring that children’s reading levels are up to date and this site has many great resources. Children can read a book to you or they can enjoy hearing a book read to them.
Kids - Classroom Secrets - Classroom Secrets Kids is offering FREE access to everyone until the end of April 2020. The platform is aimed at primary aged children and covers subjects such as maths, reading, grammar and spelling. The platform is really child-friendly so that they're able to access it on their own. There's load of games and interactive activities from phonics to SATs
