Class 9
Miss Doyle

Class 9 began this year with a promise, to try hard in all they do, to get along, to be helpful, to win lots of trophies and much more. We put our promise into our class time capsule. We sealed it shut and can’t open it up until the very last day of this school year, Fingers crossed everyone keeps their promise!
We have travelled deep into the rainforest exploring and finding out what it’s like? Who lives there and why we need to protect it? We were lucky enough to meet some rainforest animals in real life, Bull frogs, tarantulas, snakes, Lizards, skunks and even a Racoon dog. Some of class 9 were brave enough to put the snakes around their necks!
We have been doing a lot of story writing based around our topic the rainforest using drama to help us. Learning the story The Great Green Forest by heart with actions was fantastic. We had some very impressive performances and imaginative stories.
What a great start to the year!


At the end of September we were very lucky to have a visit from a lot of forest animals.
